MN Staff / December 31, 2020

WhatsApp app will be available only on iOS version 9 or higher and Android 4.0.3 or higher after January 1, 2021. Facebook-owned messaging company WhatsApp will stop providing support and updates on all OS versions starting next year.

Android devices such as HTC Desire, Motorola Droid Razr, LG Optimus Black, and the Samsung Galaxy S2 will not get any support after starting 2021. Any iPhone models with OS older than iOS 9 will lose support for the messaging platform. WhatsApp has mentioned that phones running KaiOS 2.5.1 or newer, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2 will have WhatsApp support.
