A recent step taken by the Government of India citing security concerns has blocked/banned 54 apps that belong to the Chinese firms. The apps baned by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology include the apps developed and maintained by tech firms like Tencent, Alibaba, NetEase, and other popular firms.
The popular Apps that are on the list of a ban are Sweet Selfie HD, Beauty Camera - Selfie Camera, Equalizer & Bass Booster, CamCard for SalesForce Ent, Isoland 2: Ashes of Time Lite, Viva Video Editor, Tencent Xriver, Onmyoji Chess, Onmyoji Arena, AppLock, Dual Space Lite.
